Dance has been a major feature of Emilie’s
life since the age of four.
As a child and teen in the bay-area she studied tap, jazz, lyrical,
hip hop and ballet. While earning her undergraduate degree she
took hip-hop classes at the world famous Millennium Dance Complex,
honing her ability to rapidly pick up new choreography and styles.
She also began to venture into the world of belly dance, beginning
cabaret classes in Long Beach with Master Teacher Fahtiem.
After
putting dance on hold while having her daughter and moving to
Colorado, Emilie was ready to get back in shape and reconnect
with the belly dance community. She began dancing – and
soon performing- with a local cabaret company and soon thereafter
began taking classes with Julia Di Verdi of Tribal Tique.
Focusing
on her newfound love of the Tribal Fusion style, Emilie has
taken every opportunity to further her understanding, passion,
and enjoyment of this dynamic form of belly dance.
