Julia Di Verdi has been a dedicated dancer since the age of 14. She is the originator and now retired director of Desert Rain, Colorado's premier Tribal Belly Dance troupe. Originally a cabaret dancer (it was so long ago!), Julia fell in love with American Tribal Style after discovering the work of FatChanceBellyDance and is constantly inspired by it's director, Carolena Nericcio. Julia is a graduate student at Colorado State University, pursuing a master's degree in apparel design and is currently working on a thesis dedicated to the origins of the American Tribal Style. She also designs her own unique line of tribal belly dance wear known simply as "Tribe". Julia has also recently completed the General Skills Certification with FatChanceBellyDance.

Serving as TribalTique's co-director Julia heads up the Fort Collins/Loveland branch of the group.
