Molly McClellan's (Kucmerowski) love for
dance has guided
her all her life.
Beginning her dance studies at a young
age, she hasn't
stopped since.
Molly began her
belly dance training in South Florida ,
studying under Maja,
girl from the Nile (sponsor of Spirit
of the Tribes),
and was hooked.
She continued her studies after leaving
South Florida,
when she moved
to New Orleans
and studied under Megha Gavin, the director
of Devyani,
a certified teacher,
and partner with
Carolena Nericcio of FatChanceBellyDance,
in the American
Tribal Style (ATS)
format. Molly danced as a member of the "Daughters
of Devi" until Megha left New Orleans
in September of
2003. After Megha
left, the remaining members of Devyani
formed N.o.madic
tribal Dance Company, where Molly danced
with them until
she moved to Denver
in June 2004. Always thirsty for knowledge
and technique,
Molly has also
studied with FatChanceBellyDance,
Jill Parker and Ultra
Gypsy, Aisha
Ali, Dalia
Carella, Neha Shah, Urban
Tribal, Rachel
Brice , Suzanna
Del Vecchio, UNMATA,
Kassar, Domba!,
and considers herself
to be an eternal
student. Along with belly dancing, Molly
also dances swing
and tango and hopes
one day to add flamenco,
hula, and oddissi
dance styles to
her repertoire.
Molly is constantly inspired by the feminine
strength,
beauty, camaraderie,
fluidity and grace
that the ATS form encourages and nurtures.
As the Co-Director of TribalTique,
Molly heads up the Denver chapter.
